What we do

Space Coast EDM specializes in engineering and precision Wire EDM and Small-Hole EDM, supported by in-house milling, surface grinding, and inspection. The goal is to be a responsive, engineering-driven resource for difficult, tight-tolerance parts — from prototypes and one-off components through production quantities.

Wire EDM

A continuously fed wire erodes the profile without ever touching the part — so hardness stops being a problem and geometry stops being a limit.

  • Complex profiles, intricate geometry, narrow slots, and internal features
  • Multiple-pass skim cutting for finish and accuracy
  • Taper cutting
  • Hardened steels, carbide, titanium, Inconel, stainless, and other conductive materials
  • Workpieces up to approximately 22.4" × 16.5" × 9.4"
  • Prototype through production quantities

Multiple Wire EDM machines give us additional capacity and scheduling flexibility.

Small-Hole EDM

Holes far below what a drill can hold, burned straight and on location in material a drill would not survive.

  • Precision EDM drilling from 0.008" to 0.120" diameter
  • Wire EDM start holes
  • Deep and small-diameter holes
  • Hardened and difficult-to-machine conductive materials
  • Programmable depth control
  • Workpieces up to 18.1" × 12.6" × 11.9"
  • Prototype through production quantities

Support Machining

The milling, grinding, and fixturing that has to happen before and after the EDM — done here, not routed out to someone else’s schedule.

  • Part preparation for EDM
  • Precision surface grinding
  • Squaring and sizing
  • Secondary milling operations
  • Workholding and fixture preparation
  • Prototype modifications
  • In-process support machining
